Under emergency circumstances, I had to find a specialty ranch to care for my 2 broodmares. One had a week old foal by her side, the other, a maiden mare that was due any day. She was also able to provide transportation under these emergency circumstances that some horse haulers refused to consider. My mares and foal were well-cared for with frequent supervision and several reassuring text messages a day, including photos. This allowed me to focus on my work and know that my horses were in good hands.
My maiden mare had her foal there, it was a relief to witness how comfortable she appeared while birthing with the assistance of Shirley and her long time employee, Eduardo. Under such stressful emergency circumstances, I couldn’t have imagined a better place for my horses to be. Shirley and her employee know and love horses and provided excellent care. I most value Shirley’s wisdom, integrity and willingness to help.
I recommend her highly to anyone wanting to entrust a beloved broodmare’s care.
